One week ago, a big earthquake hit a small village, Peichuan, in China. Many people in this small village died and most of the houses there were damaged. Survivors gathered in empty fields and waited anxiously for the news of their missing family members. Rescue materials from all around the country have been sent to the village for the past few days and have made that the survivors don’t have to suffer from hunger and cold anymore. However, looking at their damaged hometown, most survivors cannot but be haunted by sadness and fear.

According to the earthquake experts, there might be aftershocks in the following week. Before these aftershocks strike, some of villagers are going to search for anything memorable from the rubble of their damaged houses; others are planning to leave their damaged hometown and move to other villages nearby. The Chinese government will send more soldiers and professional medical teams to help survivors re-build their hometown, and recover from the shadow of this disaster.
